The Polish artist Jerzy Szumczyk made this sculpture which he named "Komm frau" (come here woman). But the sculpture with a Soviet soldier raping a pregnant German women was to much for Gdansk’s Avenue of Victory, and it was forcefully removed by the autorities Monday October 14th, after just one day.

Jerzy Szumczyk was subsecuently arrested by the Polish police.

Berlin.The 3 posts on the sidewalk area are monuments to people killed by the VoPo while trying to escape the East. although difficult to see, there are millions of glass shards mortared into the top edge of the wall. 
 Beyond the Wall, lies the Death Strip, and Eastern Apartment Blocks.
