June Tull, of Southampton, England, and Heinz Fellbrich (fallschrimjager and PoW in England) from rural East Prussia prior to their wedding, 14 August 1947.  June was the first English woman to marry a German PoW following the lifting of the "non-fraternisation" directive by Prime Minister Attlee in December, 1946.  She was pregant with their first child (3 months) at the time.  Best regards, JR.

Peter Roth, of Erbach, Germany, PoW in England, and Margaret Stratton, Peterborough, England, on their marriage on 22 May, 1948.  Their relationship had started before the lifting of the "non-fraternisation" directive - a sort of "war crime", I suppose.  Margaret and her mother had gone out of their way to arrange Peter's stay with them over Christmas, 1946, at a time when the "non-fraternisation directive" was still in force.  Best regards, JR.
