British Forces
US-built M3 "General Grant" variant tanks serving with the British 3rd Royal Tank Regiment, Western Desert, March 1942. In spite of the limited traverse of its sponson-mounted 75 mm main armament, the arrival of the M3 - better armed than any British tank encountered to date, and pretty well armoured for the time - presented the Germans with immediate difficulties. Best regards, JR.
