  Soldiers of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team travel in a Willys MB jeep during the Falaise operation, in the vicinity of the city of Falaise, France (approx. 20 miles south of Caen).
  The 442nd Regimental Battle Group was formed from second-generation Japanese Americans (the so-called Nisei) who chose to fight against the Axis. The jeep is equipped with a Browning M1917 machine gun. A post is fixed on the bumper of the jeep, which protected passengers from the wire stretched by the Germans across the road; August 1944.
