A M3A1 half-track named "Baby Bastard No.1" passes the burning wreck of a M4A3 medium tank of the 48th Tank Battalion, 14th Armored Division, knocked out during the fighting in Barre, France on 29 November 1944. 

Fighting for Barre

A tank destroyer of the 601st Tank Destroyer Battalion with its 3-inch gun moves through Ostheim (France) which was entered from the north at 0400 Jan. 23, 1944 by the 1st Battalion of the 7th Regiment (3rd Inf. Div.) commanded by Maj. Kenneth W. Wallace. The small-arms and machine-gun battle for Ostheim lasted five hours.
