It isn’t the time of war but I placed it here because of the well visible PPSz machine pistols that took such significant part in the war. The design included chrome plating of the interior of the barrel, and this may suggest a sub-standard of the barrel material used. They were also described by some users as unable to keep constant fire, probably due to lack of maintenance. The quality of workmanship varied during the years of production; they were better and worse. I held only one of them in my hands and that one was roughly made, but those that I saw in museums looked much better. I believe it was a good design for its purpose, but may be it needed some better material and some parts for replacement. LS
