Uploader is trying to discover how it came into his possession, other than legacy. Theory is that it may have been co-opted from the Reich thru intelligence channels for research purposes. Not clear on what the Allies had at that time in terms of infra-red/ night vision capabilities. Mostly, though, the information would add to the story/history of the unit.
