The legendary Russian sniper Vassili Grigorievich Zaitsev in ederly years wearing his " Hero of the Soviet Union" medal,throughout the war he fought at Stalingrad,Donbass,Dniepr,Odessa,and Dniestr achieving over 400 confirmed kills - 242 of them during the battle of Stalingrad.

Vassili Zaitsev - older years

german veteran Otto Carius, he was a German Heer tank commander during World War II and is credited with destroying more than 150 tanks, After the war he started a pharmacy shop called Tiger Apotheke - in Herschweiler-Pettersheim, Rhineland-Palatinate, named after the Tiger tank. He also wrote a book about his own experience in the war, titled Tigers in the Mud.
