like his older brother Ishimaru Nobukazu was a famous baseball player in pre-war japan, in 1944 he joined in the japanese navy air force in the nagoya naval base where he destroyed 7 american aircraft, in 1945 he decided to join in the kamikaze air corps, after his brother Ishimaru Shiniti died he wanted to participate in a kamikaze sortie but the war ended before he could do so, he died in 1991
