Soviets Herding Hungarian Civilians, 1944

The Red Army not only sent most of the Axis POW's back to the USSR for the purpose of forced labor, but it also rounded up tens of thousands on civilians and shipped them to the East for manual labor -- mines, factories, forests, and farms. Most were returned after 3-4 years, if they had survived.
