War production continued during the siege, Nov. 1944-Feb. 1945, mainly on Csepel (Che-pel) island, at the huge Weiss-Manfred  manufacturing complex. Here a worker is grinding a crankshaft for a military engine. Of course, their production figures paled by comparison to Russian, US, British, and German quantities.
