A group of Junkers 86 bombers showing the V-shaped red, white, and green tail markings of the early war period. If my memory serves me right, many of these bombers were built in Hungary, while using quite a few German-made components.

As a protest again the Treaty of Trianon (1920), responsible for the loss of 2/3's of Hungary's territory, a group of troubled Hungarians, many of them US residents, decided to finance a protest flight for the sake of calling attention to that "injustice." Flying a Lockheed Sirius plane, two Hungarian aviators,  G. Endresz and  S. Magyar, flew from Newfoundland to Hungary in some 26 hours during June 15-16, 1931, a record time then. The plane was named "Justice for Hungary," reflective of a Hungarian point of view leading country into WW2 on the Axis side.
