Winter Olympics 1936 - natiional priorities.

Eleven-times world champion Willi Bogner of Germany takes the Olympic Oath.  After a spell in a PoW camp after the war, Willi restarted his sports clothing business with great success.  His son, Willi Jr, was also an international ski champion.  JR.

1936 Winter Olympics - back on message.

Twelve-times world champion Christl Cranz of Germany participating at Garmisch.  In this competition she won the Gold in the newly-established Alpine Combined competition.  After the war, Cranz founded a successful ski school in partnership with her husband, Adolf Borchers.  Best regards, JR.
