They were both referring to the hard-charging, tough-talking boat designer from New Orleans, Louisiana, whose innovative flat-bottomed landing craft cleared the way for the amphibious landings at Normandy and other beach-heads during World War II: Andrew J. Higgins (1886-1952)  - on the right.
