Ernst Kaltenbrunner (*October 4, 1903 in Ried i. Innkreis/Austria, +October 16, 1946 in Nuremberg). Doctorated jurist, senior NS official and Chief of the RSHA (Reichssicherheitshauptamt = Reich Main Security Office). Being one of the 24 major defendants during the Nuremberg Trials Kaltenbrunner (nicknamed &quot;scarface&quot; by the guard personnel) was found guilty of war-crimes and crimes against humanity. He was sentenced to death and executed on October 16, 1946.

Reichskommissar Ostland (Imperial commissar of the eastern territories) Hinrich Lohse (1896-1964), on the right with binoculars. He and his administration spoiled the original good relationships between the Belorussian population and the German invaders. To the left of Lohse the regional NSDAP director and a liaison officer of the Army. Hinrich Lohse was arrested by the British on May 25, 1945 and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
