75mm le IG 18

Ardee, from http://www.1939.pl/uzbrojenie/niemieckie/artyleria/a_75mm_leIG18/index.html

From a Polish site, showing the gun ready for direct fire. As you might guess from the designation, the gun was adopted in 1918, and the earlier guns had wooden wheels. I've seen some photos later Germans using ones with wooden wheels, but I don't know if they were late interwar photos, or if wooden wheels were still used sometimes in WWII. Incidently, FTG, I think I've seen the gun "officially" listed as being both "75mm" and, as you used it, "7,5cm." Is yours the "correct one," or did the Germans use either: i.e., nobody really cared which was used? If I knew in the past, I've forgotten. Just curious....I use the mm's because of the way I organize photos on my PC.
