A cropped version of this photo was posted recently. The shot was taken in a road near Villers-Bocage, June 1944, by Arthur Grimm, one of the most famous German photographers. Panzers in Villers-Bocage

In this photo, German engineers change a Tiger's tracks from transport tracks to combat tracks. This was a tedious task frowned by the engineers. The tracks alone weighed 2.5 tons. You can see the wheels dismantled and lying on the ground.

This German Tiger Tank is loaded on a giant trailer, unusual in that these tanks of the 2nd Panzer Division "Das Reich" were usually transported on special flatrail cars, making them obvious targets for saboteurs. (scanned by HOS Bandit)
