Lieutenant Jörn Ulrich (1913-1992) in cockpit of Gloster Gladiator. He was Danish Navy fighter pilot who volunteered to fight for Finland in the Winter War of 1939-1940. He served in No. 26 Squadron (LeLv 26) of Finnish Air Force from January 12, 1940, and scored his first kill when he downed a Soviet SB-2 bomber in his first aerial combat on February 2. Later, on February 13, Ulrich downed two I-15bis fighters with his Gladiator before he was wounded and made forced landing moments later.
