Captain Jouko Myllymäki (1916-1944), 5 aerial victories in 150 sorties. Served in No. 28 Squadron (LeLv 28) of Finnish Air Force in 1939-1942, and in Training Air Wing in 1942-43, after which he was promoted to captain and was put to a reconnaissance squadron (TLeLv 35), where he served for six months before becoming flight commander in LeLv 24. During the wars he shot down two enemy aircraft with Morane-Saulnier M.S.406 (I-16 - 9.3.1940 & SB-2bis - 26.9.41) and three aircraft with Bf 109 (P-51 - 18.6.1944, La-5 & P-39 - 23.6.44). He was first shot down by enemy fighter on 18.8.1941, and apparently second time on 25.6.1944 when his Messerschmitt went missing. Captain Myllymäki was awarded with 3rd and 4th class Cross of Liberty during the war. Promotions: Vänrikki (Second Lieutenant) - 23.6.1938. Luutnantti (First Lieutenant) - 29.11.1940. Kapteeni (Captain) - 8.7.1943.
