Vänrikki (2nd Lieutenant) Antero Alho (1921-1944), unmarried student from Town of Loimaa. He started his military service during Interim Peace (1940-1941) in 14th Infantry Regiment and was chosen to NCO's school and then sent to officer school. Most of the war he served in 5th Company of 58th Infantry Regiment at Karelian Isthmus. He received 4th class Cross of Liberty in October 1942 and was promoted to rank of Luutnantti (1st Lieutenant) later during the same year. He was mortally wounded while leading his platoon in unsuccessful counter-attack to recapture "Sormenkärki" base at coast of Gulf of Finland, on the first night of Soviet major offensive (June 9-June 10, 1944). He died later during the following day in a first aid post at Terijoki.
