Captain Bernard Law Montgomery, the future Field-Marshal, aged about 27-28, during WW1. Montgomery served through the war, and was wounded several times. The collar tabs indicate that this photo was taken some time in 1915 or early 1916, during which time Montgomery held Staff posts. Best regards, JR.
