Supermarine Spitfire Mark IXs of No. 73 Squadron RAF, undergo servicing and refuelling at Prkos Airfield, Yugoslavia, April 1945. In December 1944 part of the Squadron was moved to Greece from Italy to take part in the fighting against the Communist resistance group. An unit of Balkan Air Force, in January 1945 the No 73 Squadron returned to Italy, before moving in April of same year to Yugoslavia, where it remained until the end of the war. Returned in Italy, between May and April 1945 was at Brindisi. Victor Sierra
