MG John B. Anderson, final assignment, Cmdr U.S. XVI Corps, Ninth Army, 21st Army Group, European Theatre.  General Anderson is commemorated in Roermond, Holland, where troops under his command occupied Roermond on March 1, 1945.  The city honored General Anderson and his command with a parade in celebration of the war's end on June 6, 1945.  This was a special honor and highlight of my Grandfather's military career.  He graduated from West Point with the Class of 1914.  He retired shortly after the end of WWII after 35 years of service.

My mother, has my Dads Army uniform on, 100 inf. Division  my Aunt has her husbands uniform of the 9th infantry Division, both were WW2 veterans.
