James Holt Green

Lieutenant James Holt Green, United States Naval Reserve, was leader of Company B, 2677th Regiment, Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during the DAWES mission to Slovakia in order to rescue downed American airmen and provide assistance to the Slovakian Uprising The OSS men were captured by the Germans and sent to Mauthausen concentration camp. On January 26, 1945 SS Hauptsturmfuhrer Georg Bachmayer murdered the 10 OSS prisoners, the bodies were then cremated.
