PV-1 over the California coast in 1944. PV-1 Venturas and PV-2 Harpoons were widely used in the Pacific and the Aleutian Islands by the Navy and Marines. They never seemed to get the publicity that the better known B-25's got yet they were a dependable plane that was well liked by their crews.
