Marine braves sniper fire

Lt. Col. Richard P. Ross, commander of 1st Battalion, 1st Marines braves sniper fire to place the American flag on a parapet of Shuri Castle on May 30th. This flag was first raised over Cape Gloucester and then Peleliu
