A group of captured Wehrmacht soldiers awaiting evacuation and transportation for internment. An American LST (Landing Ship Tank) is standing by behind them on the French coast. The group includes ethnic Austrians, Poles, Czechs who fought on the side of Germany.  They were were calm about being in captivity, but were disappointed to learn that instead of the United States they would be sent to England; August 1944.
