Two Germans walk into.....

After heavy fighting with the Germans, GIs of the American 80th Infantry Division enter the damaged French village of Argentan, 58 kms south-east of Caen; August 20, 1944.

In persuit of the enemy

A captured German prisoner (front center) helping several GI's from the US 320th Infantry Regiment (35th ID) carry another wounded POW to a jeep ambulance near the southeastern exit of the commune of Harlange. The prisoners are from either Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 13 or 15; Battle of the Bulge, Luxembourg, January 5, 1945.
