An American soldier of the US 3rd Infantry Division inspects one of two wrecked and burned out German tanks (Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger) as advancing troops file by in the vicinity of the city of Cori, a short distance to the south-east of Rome, Italy. The tanks were disabled by Allied aircraft on May 24, 1944.
