An LST is landing 32nd Infantry Division troops.
   It was an Allied amphibious landing at Saidor, a village on the north coast of Papua New Guinea on 2 January 1944.
   Papua New Guinea, is the eastern half of the island of New Guinea in the southwestern Pacific Ocean north of Australia.
