Soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 120th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, pass an  M29 "Weasel" tracked vehicle on a street in the destroyed French town of Hébécrevon.
Hébécrevon was the site of many battles in June and July 1944 leading to the Allied victory of the St. Lo campaign in July 1944.

Forrest Guth (1921– 2009) One of the original 140 men who trained under Sobel at Camp Toccoa. Guth had the ability to repair and modify weapons. For instance, he could make an M-1 rifle fully automatic.He became the armorer for his comrades.Guth's uniform was also unique, Guth sew on it many extra pockets. Guth fought in D-Day, the Netherlands, and the Battle of Bulge.

Forrest Guth

2nd Lt. George Andre Whelan, of Chappaqua, New York, was killed in action on August 9th, 1944 near the town of Champ du Boult in the Calvados region of France.  He was hit by shell fragments while on a Forward Observation mission for the 229th Field Artillery.  If anyone has any more information about him, please contact me.  Thanks.
