Photo my Uncle held as he died on Omaha Beach

My Uncle was nearly cut in half when they landed on Omaha Beach on 6/6/1944. The man who held him told me how my Uncle asked for the photo of us wife, my Aunt, in his pocket and he held it until he finally gave up life. It is their wedding photo and he carried through North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. This month my Aunt passed on to Glory and will join her husband there.
