Many Americans went north to fight for Canada

Landing zone in Normandy is strewn with gliders,some intact,others not.Smaller white dots may well be abandoned parachutes,indicating that these fields were the landingzones for both waves of airborne assaults.

The First Special Service Force, aka the Devil's Brigade, get instructions before going on patrol at Anzio.  They were an elite American and Canadian  commando unit that fought in Italy and southern France.
