Campaign of Italy, Spring 1944, an American soldier looking a German tank Tiger put out of action on Cori, a little town, today of the Province of Latina (at this time Littoria), on the mounts South of Rome, during the fierce clash bore by the Allies to clear the way for the Italian capital. On the way to Rome

One of the many wrecks, a Marder (an emblem perhaps of the Afrika Korps is visible on the turret’s left side), abandoned long the way to Rome by the retreating German Army followed closely by the Allies troops. Note the marks of fire over the soil near the Marder, while the photo, Spring 1944, give and idea of the difficult background where the Allies was called to fight during the Campaign of Italy.
