Lincoln Brigade

Black soldier of the American Lincoln Brigade during the Spanish civil war. In the Lincoln Brigade for the first time in the American military history black officers commanded white soldiers. Furthermore few people know that also during the Italo-Ethiopian war many men of the US negro civil rights organizations enlisted as volounteers for the Abyssinian army. Anyway only a minor fraction of them was able to reach the African country before the war's end. DVX
