Trying to keep warm

Bersaglieri of CIL (Italian Liberation Corp) and US soldiers.
It's not clear for me if the bersagliere is showing his model 91 to the US soldiers or if the US GI is showing his Garand to the bersagliere... End 1943 (since 1944 CIL troops started to wear British uniforms with Italian patches).
