A veteran of the First War, producer-director Frank Capra (right) served in this one as a Colonel in the Signal Corps.  Entering the Army shortly after Pearl Harbor, he was assigned to Washington, produced the Why We Fight series of orientation films, later saw action in the three combat theaters, won the Legion of Merit for his Army film work.

This agile young man is PFC. Sabu Dastigar of the AAF, swinging through an obstacle course during training at Greensboro, N.C.  Known to audiences merely as Sabu, the Indian-born star of Elephant Boy and other pictures was inducted into the army in 1943.  Soon afterward he became a U.S. citizen; later he was sent to the South Pacific.
