LT. EDWARD V. LOUSTALOT - 1st Battalion, US Rangers.  He was the first American to die on the ground.  He and 48 other rangers landed with 5000 Canadian soldier on the beaches in front of Dieppe, France in August of 1942.  Three Rangers were killed in this action.
