10th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division, captured Volary on May 4, 1945. They found the bodies of 30 Jewish women who had been beaten, starved, and marched over 300 miles across Czechoslovakia by SS troops. In this photograph, German civilians are forced to walk past the bodies.
