Pfc. Arlon L. Adams, 119th Inf. Reg., of Temperance, Mich. awaits German counterattacks in his foxhole in the vicinity of Bardenberg and Wurselen, Germany, October 17th, 1944.  Pfc. Adams was later KIA on Feb. 24th, 1945 in the Roer River assault.  The 119th crossed and attacked just south of the Hambach Forest. Pfc. Adams was awarded the Silver Star and the Bronze Star.

Lt. Col. Keith L. Ware, U.S. 15th Infantry, 1st Lt. John J. Tominac, U.S. 15th Infantry, S/Sgt. Lucian Adams, Co. I, U.S. 30th Infantry, T/Sgt. Russell Dunham, Co. I, U.S. 30th Infantry and Pvt. Wilburn K. Ross, Co. G, U.S. 30th Infantry are awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for going above and beyond the call of duty during combat, by the Commanding General of the 7th U.S. Army, Alexander M. Patch at the newly secured Zepplinfeld Stadium in Nurnberg, Germany, ca. April 22nd, 1945.
