Dachau Concentration Camp

Veterans started writing about this incident, in the mid 1980's. U.S 7th Infantry liberated Dachau Concentration Camp and executed an unknown number of SS. Some were not guards, but were wounded Waffen SS combat troops, in camo uniforms different from the guards, fighting on the Eastern front, housed in the hospital on the right, in a compound totally separate from the camp. The accounts differ but somewhere around 346 troops were killied here, and 8, 12 or 17 guards killed elsewhwere and the guard tower. All of the U.S.troops in this photo are identified. No officers were involved.
