General George S. Patton in good mood tries to open a bottle of wine at the victory celebration after the capture of Aachen. It is told that at this celebration -in presence of King George VI. of England and General Eisenhower- Patton told stories about his time in North Africa mentioning the 'tunisian pilferers' and that he shot a dozen of them with his own hand. 'Ike' was embarrassed and asked Patton back 'How many?'. Patton replied that it ''maybe could have been only half a dozen''. But Ike still wasn't pleased with that answer so that Patton admitted to the King that he kicked two pilferers terribly in the butt.

October 21st 1944, Aachen has surrendered! The first german major city to get captured by the western allies. On the front passenger's seat of the jeep Colonel Gerhard Wilck, the commanding officer of german forces inside the encircled town.
