US Auxiliary Air Base at Carlsbad, New Mexico, burns following accidental release of armed and primed bats assembled for use in a Bat Bomb test.  It just occurs to me - "Carlsbad"; leaving aside the real city, this was a name that tended to be given to the town (that provided the compulsory Mob) in old Dracula and Frankenstein movies ...
