350th Fighter Group

Republic P-47 Thunderbolts of the 350th Fighter Group, 12th Air Force ,near the Austrian border on Feb. 25,1945. Nearest aircraft is P-47D-30-RE Thunderbolt, s/n 44-20978. She was lost on April 27,1945. The other aircraft is P-47D-25-RE Thunderbolt, s/n 42-26640. It was shot down on July 1,1944 when jumped by 30 Me-109's while still armed with bombs, the pilot bacame a POW.(rudeerude)
