The commander of the US 3rd Army, Lieutenant General George S. Patton, Jr. (1885-1945) rides in a Mercury Staff car (Mercury Eight Sport Convertible) along the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

Lt. Gen. George Patton Jr. (Nov. 11, 1885 - Dec. 21, 1945) conducts a review of the US 2nd Infantry Division, part of the US Third Army, in England, April 1944, prior to the June 6 Normandy invasion. Sitting in the back seat is Major General Walter M. Robertson (Jun 15, 1888 - Nov. 22, 1954) commander of the 2nd Infantry Division.
