A French farmer treats the American soldiers with a glass of cider in the commune of Notre Dame de Cenilly in Normandy, about 10 miles south-west of Saint Lô.
The soldiers are in camouflage uniform, sit in a Half-Track Personnel Carrier M3, of the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment, 2nd Armored Division.
