Alligators used by the 115 Infantry in crossing the flooded Roer River near Broich, in the vicinity of Jülich, Germany.
Alligators were Landing Vehicle Tracked (LVT) amphibious warfare vehicles, that evolved into assault troop and fire support vehicles, and were used by US troops on the Roer River crossing in 1945.
