M36 Gun Motor Carriage in the Bulge.

US Army.

An M36 Gun Motor Carriage advances across the snowy landscape of the Ardennes during the Second Battle of the Ardennes, December, 1944. This was one of America's most effective tank killer. Its 90mm gun was capable of killing a Panther at 1,500 metres or longer. Apparently, US crew developed a preference to target the turrets of German medium and heavy tanks, rather than the glacis plate. The preceding post (in US Army folder) suggests why this might have happened. Best regards, JR.
