A view of a relatively rare M36B1 90mm GMC serving with 654th Tank Destroyer Battalion in support of the 35th Division,Ninth Army.The four small Nazi flags on the mantlet are victory markings for two PzKpfw IV and two Tiger tanks knocked out by this TD.Note the duck-bill connectors fitted to its track for better traction in muddy conditions.

Rare M36B1 90mm GMC

Due to the great demand for M36 tank destroyers a small number of M36B1s were created by mating a M36 turret to a M4A3 tank hull.This is is a rear view, note the counter weight on the turret, typical of an M36.This example is of the 11th Armored Division of Patton's Third Army as it passes GIs of the 26th Division near Langenselbd, Germany March 30, 1945.
