
 "Soldiers of the Soviet 20th Army with the Maxim 1910 machine gun on positions on the banks of the Dnieper to the west of Dorogobuzh."Tha Maxim 1910 is mounted on the wheeled Sokolov carriage.The shield can be lifted off easily of the mg.That in turn comes off the wheeled carriage so it can be transported with ease.The complete gun weighs about 70kg.Another feature of the wheeled carriage is that it can be folded underneath the gun for deployment in positions with  limited space.The gun fires the 7,62 x 54R round.The gun mantlet has a filling port topside for water or snow to cool the gun.
